Carter is 2!

What a wonderful day for a bithday party! We had a wonderful time in the back yard watching the kids play in the sandbox, playing games and catching up. Carter was so great, although he got a really nice shiner at the end of the day. You can see it a little bit in the picture with he and Grandma Peggy!

Bye bye Papa Keith and Grandma Cindi

We were lucky enough to have everyone over on Sunday to say goodbye to Papa and Grandma before they take off to live in Gainsville, Florida. Dad is directing the movers today, watching them take it all away tomorrow and then hanging out with us until he makes the trek to Florida on Sunday.

We are really excited to have Papa stay with us for a few days until we can come and visit in December. We are so sad to see them go, but know they will be so happy there. Plus, I know my dad won't be sad letting go of those Iowa winters!

Totally picked up and organized last night before we went to bed.

He is literally flipping over the furniture in his wake.

What I forgot to mention, these pictures were taken at 8:30am-- less than 1 hour after he woke up.

He is pretty cute though.

You take your eyes off of him for one second...

and he got into a stick of sunscreen and spread it all over his face and the inside of his mouth! Yuck! Thank the lord for non- toxic sunscreen. He is also wondering around the house right now in just his diaper. Got to love it!

Carter is almost two!

It is amazing to me how fast time flies. This Saturday Carter will be two and while he has all the makings of a typical two year old, it still baffles me that he has grown up so fast.

I wanted to create this blog for a few reasons. The first being that I have been horrible this year in regard to posting pics and updates. This is yet another example of how time gets away from us! So here it is, Carter's blog for this, his third year.
